Course-specific competence: The student
• can plan, implement, assess and document patient-centered care in psychiatric and geriatric care for preventive, curative, rehabilitating and palliative purposes in a interprofessional team
• demonstrates knowledge and skills in the central methods of nursing practice with an approach based on nursing science and evidence-based care, and can perform different clinical examinations, measuring of functions, and treatments
• understands the connection between nursing science and nursing practice
• applies care principles in different contexts of care and demonstrates the care process of the patient
• shows a reflective and ethical approach in counseling and instructing the patient to take responsibility of personal health and capacities.
