- is aware of the main principles for the production of the most important varieties of paper and cardboard
- understands the connection between the quality of the raw material and the characteristics of different types of paper
- knows how care of the environment is taken into account in chemical timber processing
- has knowledge of research and product development in the chemical timber processing industry
