With cross-institutional studies, you can expand your study opportunities by selecting studies from Novia University of Applied Sciences and including them in your degree.

Below you will find information on how you, as a student with a degree study right at another Higher Education Institution in Finland, should proceed in order to study at Novia UAS.

Novia UAS students can find information about cross-institutional studies on the intranet.

Novia UAS welcomes students from all Finnish Higher Education Institutions!

Different Types of Cross-Institutional Studies

1. Cross-Institutional Study Networks

Novia UAS has an agreement with other Finnish Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) regarding different cross-institutional study networks, in which students from participating HEIs can participate.

If you are going to take a specific course at Novia UAS, which is part of your degree, you will receive information about this from your primary Higher Education Institution. The enrollment is done through an enrollment portal, see "Enrollment" section below.

In the future, you will find the other higher education course offerings in your own study register, for example in Peppi or Sisu.

2. CampusOnline

The CampusOnline portal contains online courses from over 20 Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.

In the portal, you can familiarise yourself with courses which can be accredited into your degree, as well as sign up for those which you find interesting. Course enrollment is done through the portal.

Novia UAS students enroll for Novia UAS CampusOnline courses via Peppi.

3. JOO Studies

From 31st December 2021 onwards, the JOO studies, in their previous format, have been concluded and will instead be replaced by network specific cross-institutional studies.

In some cases, students still have the opportunity to apply to study at another HEI according to the model of JOO studies. Contact your home institution for more information.

4. Other Cross-Institutional Studies

If there is not yet an agreement for the degree programme/course you are interested in, you can get acquainted with the Novia Study Guide and then contact samarbetsstudier@novia.fi. You can also familiarise yourself with the Novia UAS course offering via OpenUAS.
