Current project:

LES 2.0. Road to the environmental democracy through investigation of relationships with the environment
LES 2.0 is an interdisciplinary project aiming to link objective environmental data and subjective survey data on local and country scales. This link is planned to investigate in relation to the effects of the environment on the well-being of society and the socio-economic factors affecting these effects. In particular, one of the parts of LES 2.0 focuses on the political preferences/orientation of people and potential fluctuations in the role of nature for their life quality and the accuracy of people’s subjective assessments of nature. Therefore, the research team consists of wide expertise in both environmental and social sciences, and we combine ecological data, GIS data, and survey data in our approach.

Project partners: Åbo Akademi University, Pro Litore Association.
