The course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of geospatial data and its use in the construction and real estate sector. Students learn to understand the importance of geospatial information for planning, construction, asset management, and decision‑making, and to identify the most relevant geospatial datasets and tools.
Goal:
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - understand the fundamentals of geospatial data - identify the most important geospatial datasets in the construction and real estate sectors - use geospatial data to support decision‑making - recognize the connection between geospatial data, BIM (Building Information Modeling), digitalization, and smart cities

The course also addresses the opportunities, limitations, and ethical perspectives related to the use of artificial intelligence in the operating environment of the construction industry.
