BAA23VG03-3001 Clinical Nursing Care 3 ECTS

Objectives
The student
-have a insight in the common internal medicin and surgical diseases and the care and treatment
of these.
-have basic knowledge about pre- and postoperative care, emergency care and intensive care
and understand the special needs for the patients at this units.

BAA23BS05-3001 Medical Treatment 3 ECTS

Objectives
The students
- are familiar with the ethical aspects and statutes of medication administration.
- are familiar with different forms of medication and administration.
- are familiar with different medication groups, indications, interactions and the most common side-effects. They are also able to observe and assess the effect of the medication.
- command the fundamental rules of arithmetic needed for medication dosage, and are able to administer medication flawlessly in exercises (pill dispensers/medicin tray, subcutant,
intramuscular)
- are aware of their responsabilities when administering medication.

BAA23BS06-3001 Pharmacology 2 ECTS

Objectives
the student:
- is familiar with concepts and terminology in pharmacology and has knowledge of
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
- has insights about different groups of drugs; knows indications, interactions and the most
common side effects and can observe and evaluate the effect of the drugs

Content
Basic pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, with concepts.
Drug interactions, drug side effects and drug use in the elderly.
Common drug groups such as analgesics, antibiotics, drugs for cardiovascular disease, drugs for diabetes, drugs for gastrointestinal diseases and drugs for mental disorders.

Objectives
The students
- are familiar with genes, gene expression and genetics
- understand the role of genes in protein synthesis
- master basic genetic calculations
- master terminology of molecular biology
- have knowledge of fundamental methods in molecular biology
- are familiar with the main sources of information related to molecular biology
- understand the importance of molecular biology within bioanalysis

BAA23BI04-3001 Physiological and Neurophysiological Bioanalysis 3

Objectives
The students
- have fundamental insights into the laboratory examination process at physiological examinations of the body's organs and organ systems, such as the heart, lungs, the gastrointestinal channel, etc.
- have fundamental insights into neurophysiologcal examinations of nerves, muscles, spinal cord and brain
- have fundamental insights into patient care.
- are able to use central sources of information and scientific publications concerning methods,reference ranges, illness diagnostics and current research within the area.
- are prepared to improve quality and consider sustainable development within bioanalysis.

- are able to examine, analyze and document laboratory results.
