Application Process (Bachelor)

1) Apply online at Studyinfo.fi

• Apply between 2 November 2026 -30 April 2027 at 3 pm (Finnish time). Study start autumn 2027.

Novia reserves the right to close applications for a study programme in the Rolling Admission before the application round ends (30 April 2027) if all available places are filled during the application round.

Submit your application online at www.studyinfo.fi.

Please submit your application well in advance of the deadline to avoid possible network problems and power cuts.

Late applications are not considered.

Check if you need to pay an application fee. An application fee is collected for applicants from countries outside EU/EEA seeking education leading to a degree in higher education.

The application fee will not be charged for Finnish or EU/EEA citizens. Also, certain types if residence permits might exempt from the application fee liability. More information is available on the Studyinfo-website.

The Finnish National Agency of Education will collect the application fee in connection with filling in the Studyinfo application form. 

The application fee is collected with the Suomi.fi payment service. If you have submitted an application and have questions regarding the application fee, you may contact applicationfee@oph.fi. 

2) Upload attachments before submitting your application.

• Upload your application attachments in the online application form before submitting the application.

Mandatory attachments must be uploaded in the application form and submitted together with the application. If any of the mandatory attachments are missing, the application will be rejected.

Attachments submitted after the submission of the application form will not be considered.

3) Wait for entrance examination invitation e-mail

Invitations to the entrance examinations are sent by e-mail to eligible applicants about one week before the exam. Check your e-mail regularly, including your spam and junk folders.

The exact time of the entrance examination online will be sent in the invitation letter.

Note, that there are five different entrance examination rounds, and applicants will receive an invitation to a designated exam round based on the submission date of their application.

4) Entrance examinations

Prepare for the entrance examinations that will be held online. To be considered for admission, you must participate in the entrance examinations. Please familiarize yourself with the selection methods of the degree programme you are applying for.

Entrance Examination Rounds:

o   Round 1: Exams are held 7–9 December 2026 (for applications submitted no later than 15 Nov 2026)

o   Round 2: Exams are held 25–27 January 2027 (for applications submitted during 16 Nov 2026–3 Jan 2027)

o   Round 3: Exams are held 8–10 March 2027 (for applications submitted during 4 Jan –14 Feb 2027)

o   Round 4: Exams are held 5–7 April 2027 (for applications submitted during 15 Feb –14 Mar 2027)

o   Round 5: Exams are held 17–19 May 2027 (for applications submitted during 15 Mar –30 Apr 2027)

5) Results will be available continuously

Admission results are published on an ongoing basis throughout the application period. Admission results are generally published after each entrance examination round.

Wait for the decision on student admission to be published and follow the given instructions. The results will be published continuously and applicants will be notified via email.

Please notice that you can only accept one study place per semester in Finland even if you are offered multiple study places. Accepting a study place is binding and cannot be changed.

Please also familiarize yourself with the information about The One Study Right Rule before accepting your study place.

6) Accepted as a student?

Remember to accept your study place in the My Studyinfo service  and follow the given instructions. 

The last day to accept the study place is 13 July 2027 at 3 pm (Finnish time). 

The last day to be accepted from the waiting list is 14 July 2027 at 3 pm (Finnish time).

It is obligatory to register for attendance or non-attendance in addition to accepting your study place. Studies begin in August/September 2027, the exact dates will be published in due course.

7) Information for new students

Our information package for new students who start their studies in the academic year 2027-2028 will be available in April.

 

Rolling Admission procedures

Rolling admission procedures are applied, meaning that admission results are published on an ongoing basis throughout the application period. Admission results are generally published after each entrance examination round.

Applicants may submit only one (1) application form in the Rolling Admission to Novia UAS. Applicants may apply to only one (1) degree programme, and they cannot change their choice after submitting the application.

Applicants are ranked within each entrance examination round based on the score achieved in the entrance examination.

Applicants who achieve a passing score are offered a study place ranked based on the order of their scores until all places have been filled. 

If all places are filled during an ongoing entrance examination round, the admission score determines the ranking, and applicants who have passed but cannot immediately be offered a study place are placed on a waiting list.

In the event of equal admission scores, the order in which applications were submitted determines the internal ranking.

Novia reserves the right to close applications for a study programme in the Rolling Admission before the application round ends (30 April 2027) if all available places are filled during the application round.

The entrance exams are arranged during five entrance examination rounds during the application round. Note that the application might close earlier if all study places are filled.

4) Entrance examinations

Prepare for the entrance examinations that will be held online.

The International UAS Exam is a joint digital entrance examination of the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS). 

The International UAS Exam that is organized on 23 March 2027 from 12:00 o’clock noon onwards (Finnish time, UTC/GMT+2).

Some degree programmes will have their own entrance examinations week 10-11 2027 (please see the specific dates for each programme under Selection Methods)

To be considered for admission, you must participate in the entrance examinations. Please familiarize yourself with the selection methods of each Bachelor's degree programme.

5) Results will be available from the end of March

• Results will be published from the end of March, however, at the latest by 31 May 2027.

4) Entrance Examination (Online interview)

• The online interviews are held between 31 May and 4 June 2027. 

Applicants who do not participate in the interview cannot be admitted.

5) Results 

• The results are published at the earliest from 10 June 2027.

If you are admitted to the degree programme, you will receive your admission offer by e-mail.
