In demanding and exceptionally demanding structural design: The student is able to apply - use of load-bearing components in various frame systems - good properties of the load-bearing structure - fire dimensioning methods - methods of preventing continuous collapse The student is able to take into account - buckling shapes impact - torsion shapes impact The student is able to calculate and examine - dimensioning of columns - dimensioning of the ridge bar - dimensioning of the xxx beam (maha) - dimensioning of the boomerang beam - dimensioning of CLT and LVL panels - floor vibration dimensioning - fire dimensioning - dimensioning to prevent continuous collapse - dimensioning of the three-joint frame - dimensioning of three-joint arch The student is able to identify - mechanical operation of building components - mechanical operation of the structure entity - structural weaknesses and strengths - differences in floor types due to vibration technology

Timing:

Lectures held in the spring term 2027. The course is carried out as online studies i.e., lectures tied to time but not to place. Lectures on Wednesdays at 15.00-18.00:14.4, 21.4, 28.4, 5.5, 12.5.2027. Lectures are held on Webex: https://novia.webex.com/join/emil.jansson Students need a computer with dual screens, good internet connection, web cam and headset. We strive for an interactive and positive learning environment where all participants have contact and contribute to learning. We all have our webcams activated at all times during lectures.
