Pia Liljeroth
Pia is a Principal Lecturer in the Degree Programme in Social Services at Novia University of Applied Sciences in Turku. She holds a Doctor of Social Sciences (Sociology) degree and is a trained midwife, with extensive experience in education, supervision, and research and development within the social and health care sector.
Pia teaches research and development methodology, sociology, reproductive health, and maternal care. She has extensive experience supervising theses at both bachelor’s and master’s levels within a university of applied sciences. Pia is a team leader within the research area Design of Social and Health Care Services. Her work focuses on how research, development activities, and education can contribute to improved and more sustainable welfare services. She has a particular interest in interprofessional collaboration, evidence-based practice, and participation in both education and practice.
