Kvarken Film Hub

Kvarken Film Hub

About the project

Kvarken Film Hub is a cross-border initiative launched in the fall of 2025 to strengthen the audiovisual industries in Västerbotten and Ostrobothnia. Our goal is to help shape and develop the film landscape of the Kvarken Region into an agile, creative, and collaborative ecosystem for film and TV production. The project is part of the Interreg Aurora programme and will run until the fall of 2028.

Project goal

The project aims to maximise the benefits of existing resources and foster synergies in the audiovisual industry through cross-border cooperation between Ostrobothnia and Västerbotten. By collaborating across borders, we can enhance competitiveness, attract larger productions, improve educational opportunities, and enable transnational co-productions. Our vision is to be an active, relevant, and forward-looking part of the Aurora region’s audiovisual industry, staying updated with trends and contributing to its growth and international visibility.
