Period: 8.6.2022 - 31.8.2024

Content: How can we integrate sustainability into society? How do we ensure that there is enough, for everyone, even in the future? In what way can this be achieved at the intersection of culture and sustainability issues? The project aims to explore the role that art and culture can play in achieving this.

The creativity and innovative power of the cultural sector promotes society's capacity for innovative solutions for sustainable development. Art and culture can make present-day and future challenges visible and contribute knowledge and methods to deal with them. Art, literature and cultural experiences can teach us about the challenge of living sustainably. This project therefore focuses on the development of sustainable cultural experiences as well as cross-sectoral networking and the visibility of the opportunities at the intersection of culture and sustainability issues through information and dialogue.

The purpose of the project is to create the conditions for a sustainable Ostrobothnia with the help of art and culture. The project investigates the possibilities of art and culture to increase awareness of and interest in sustainability issues. The project wants to test how a broad, vibrant and inclusive cultural life in the countryside increases knowledge of and preparedness for living and acting more sustainably.

In order to achieve the goals of the project, several pilots will be carried out, models will be created and networks will be established in collaboration with representatives of the public, voluntary and private sectors.
