Carbon neutral experience 3.0

About the project

Carbon Neutral Experience 3.0 is a development project aiming to make tourism in the Uusimaa region more sustainable and regenerative. The goal is to support small and medium-sized tourism companies in creating climate-friendly services that also appeal to customers. The project runs from 2025 to 2027 and is led by Haaga-Helia in collaboration with Novia and Posintra.

Throughout the project, free workshops, trainings, and pilot activities will be organized to help companies develop new services and improve how they communicate their sustainability and regenerativity efforts. Through research and hands-on learning, businesses will gain tools to better reach customers and highlight their environmentally conscious choices.

The project builds on previous experiences and brings together actors from across the region. All results will be shared openly on the project’s website and used to inspire more sustainable and regenerative tourism practices.

Project goal

The project has three clear goals:

• To develop new sustainable and regenerative tourism services that are better for the climate and appealing to both local and international visitors.

• To strengthen companies’ ability to communicate sustainability and regenerativity, making it easier for customers to find and choose environmentally friendly options.

• To encourage collaboration between tourism businesses, municipalities, and other stakeholders to build a more sustainable and regenerative tourism sector in the Uusimaa region.

Through practical tools, training, and research, companies receive support to improve their operations and grow with sustainability and regenerativity at the core. The project also aims to make it easier for tourists to make climate-smart choices and for businesses to stand out in a competitive market. The long-term goal is to create solutions that continue to benefit the region even after the project ends.
