Press Release

"The studies gave me a good base for service design. What I loved the most was our group and the connections I got through this process."

"I have two degrees from Novia UAS: Bachelor of Maritime Management (Sea Captain); and Master of Engineering in Autonomous Maritime Operations. The first degree was a sort of induction to the maritime world, and the latter degree focused more on a specific aspect of the maritime field, providing a deeper dive into the trends of future autonomous maritime ecosystems. "

"My studies in Service Design gave me the tools to research and identify inadequate parts in services and methods to further develop them."

"First and foremost, I chose to study in Finland because it is one of the happiest, safest and stable country in the world."

"[T]he teachers match their surroundings; a majority are former officers with decades of experience behind them. I’m assured the ground truth of the industry from professional sources."

"The student residence is close to the campus, so it is easy to build contacts to other students. Each season gives its own sparkle to the city and its atmosphere."

"I see the programme as a complement and continuance to my previous experiences and as something that can eventually bring about new opportunities as e.g. a self-employed person."

"My own goal with this program is to find new avenues and means for improving current processes."
