Career Survey 2026: Mapping Life After Novia

In autumn 2026, all Novia alumni who graduated in 2021 will be invited to participate in the national career survey. Conducted five years after graduation, the survey gives alumni an opportunity to share their journey from studies to working life.

By responding, alumni contribute valuable insights into their employment situation and how their education has supported them in their careers. Their experiences help current and prospective students gain a clearer understanding of life after graduation, while providing Novia with important information for the continued development of its education programmes.

The career survey is carried out annually at universities of applied sciences in Finland. Some of the survey questions are also used as national quality indicators and influence the funding of Finnish universities of applied sciences. Therefore, every response is valuable, both for Novia’s quality development work and for the continued development of higher education in Finland.

Career Survey Timeline 2026

The survey will be open from 7 October to 9 November 2026 and will be distributed via both email and SMS. The survey link will be sent as part of the national career survey initiative, and recipients are therefore encouraged to monitor both their inbox and spam folder when the survey opens.
Alumni who do not receive a personal survey link, or who have questions about the survey, are welcome to contact Novia’s Alumni Coordinator, Bella Alén.

Novia’s Alumni Coordinator Will Contact Alumni

During the autumn, Novia’s Alumni Coordinator will contact alumni by telephone to provide information about the career survey, remind them to complete the survey, and answer any questions they may have.
These calls are part of Novia’s efforts to make the survey visible, accessible, and easy to participate in. They also provide a valuable opportunity for Novia to stay in direct contact with alumni and learn more about their experiences, reflections, and updates from life after their studies.

For several years, Novia has enjoyed a high response rate in the career survey, and we are deeply grateful to our alumni for taking the time to share their experiences. The responses are used in Novia’s quality assurance and development work and provide valuable perspectives on how well our education programmes meet the needs of working life.
