Strong Development and Stable Finances for Novia UAS in 2024

Novia University of Applied Sciences has published its 2024 Annual Report.
The university reports an active and successful year in 2024. The annual report notes, among other things, that the number of degrees awarded at Novia amounted to 897, of which 756 were UAS degrees and 141 were higher UAS degrees. The total number of degrees increased by 6% compared to 2023. Novia admitted 1,434 new degree students in 2024.

Research, development, and innovation activities (RDI) showed very strong growth, with external funding reaching EUR 5.3 million—an increase of 36%.

The financial result for the accounting period for Novia University of Applied Sciences (Ab Yrkeshögskolan vid Åbo Akademi) amounted to EUR 0.06 million, and the result for the group was EUR 0.35 million. Turnover was EUR 35.1 million for Novia and EUR 38.4 million for the group. The subsidiaries and associated companies Aboa Mare Ab, Edunova Ab, and Jakobstad Concert Hall Ab all reported positive results and contributed to the group’s overall financial performance.
