Marit Holmlund-Sund New Head of International Relations at Novia UAS

Marit Holmlund-Sund has extensive experience in international business development within marketing, communication and branding. She has held various positions within Wärtsilä Corporation and most recently served as the Head of Brand & Marketing at Axopar Boats. She has led international teams and projects during her career.

“With Marit’s experience in international relations within the business sector, she will become a valuable asset in our efforts to strengthen our international networks and further develop our global profile. Novia is growing, and the number of international students is increasing significantly. At the same time, we are enhancing our global collaboration networks”, states Mr Örjan Andersson, President of Novia UAS.

The Head of International Relations is primarily responsible for international student and staff mobility, as well as working to strengthen Novia’s brand internationally to support student recruitment and research and development efforts. Furthermore, she promotes international higher education networks and supports development processes for integrating international students into the higher education community, working life, and society.

“I’m really looking forward to starting my new assignment at Novia and being able to contribute my extensive experience towards further development. It’s impressive to see how Novia has already expanded its international operations, and it will be inspiring to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues to strengthen Novia’s profile in the international market”, states Marit Holmlund-Sund.

Marit Holmlund-Sund will assume the position on January 9, 2024, taking over from Camilla Pundars-Mitts who is retiring after a long career at Novia UAS.
