Welcome to a seminar where research and cooperation on sustainable development are the focus! 

Professor Walter Leal from the BUPRap office in Hamburg talks about research cooperation within sustainable development. Prof. Leal has an extended experience in research, education, and publication. His main research interests are in the fields of sustainable development and climate change, also including aspects of climate change and health.

We will also hear presentations on two current projects where sustainability is a key aspect.

  • 13.20 Fostering scientific cooperation via European and non-European founded projects on sustainable development, Prof. Walter Leal, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
  • 14.20 Coffee.
  • 14.40 Light in the Dark – Increasing resilience in rural and coastal tourism in the northern Baltic Sea Region by developing off-seasons experiences, Project manager James Simpson & Senior Lecturer Maria Engberg, Novia University of Applied Sciences.
  • 15.00 Data-Driven Sustainability Management: Innovative solutions to support the green transition in cooperation with the industry, Ass. Prof. Jerker Björkqvist, Åbo Akademi University.
  • 15.20 General discussion and concluding remarks.
  • 15.45 End of seminar (by the latest).
