- perspectives on aging in different contexts - societal trends and development opportunities in social gerontology - physical, mental and social challenges among the elderly - forms of service and services for the elderly / third sector - social counselling and service planning - digital welfare technology as support in everyday life for the elderly - kinship care and family support - resource-enhancing methods
Goal
The student: - has knowledge of the theory within social gerontology and is able to critically reflect on the categorisation of the elderly. - knows how to encounter seniors and their relatives and is able to guide them in the social service system. - can apply, plan and evaluate resource-enhancing methods for the elderly in order to promote health and functional ability.
