About the project
Frö för Förändring och Samhörighet (FRÖ) is a regional collaborative project run by Novia UAS, Art in Malakta rf, and Bildningsalliansen rf.The project aims to create intercultural meeting spaces and social networks through art, nature and gardening. The project is based on the idea that nature and gardening are unifying elements that connect us all, regardless of background or culture. Therefore, the project brings together people with and without a migration background around a shared interest in these themes.
By integrating art and artistic methods into project activities, the aim is to deepen participants' connection to nature and to one another, fostering a sense of community and building bridges between cultures and languages.
The intercultural networks formed during the project have the potential to increase participation and create new opportunities, such as new social connections, friendships, or even employment for individuals with a migration background.
Project activities include pop-up events where participants can engage through lectures, practical and artistic workshops, as well as a longer interdisciplinary process led by artists and gardening experts. The pop-up activities are expected to result in an activity model that can be used by associations and other organisations wishing to continue integration efforts after the project ends.
The interdisciplinary process will be documented through the artist’s own artistic practice, culminating in artworks that symbolise the sense of community, creativity, and the bridges the project builds between different cultures.
Project goal
