About the project

The project aims to increase the participation, well-being and sense of inclusion of children and young people. This will be done by working with football clubs and other stakeholders to create the conditions for inclusive and equitable sport.
The project will include surveys, events and training to increase the knowledge of clubs about diversity and inclusion that can create positive change for children and young people. Development partners in the project include ten clubs and through these clubs the project will reach many children and young people in Korsholm, Vörå, Malax and Vasa.
We will also cooperate with the Regional Council of Ostrobothnia and the Finnish Football Association. The project is planned to start on September 1, 2024 and end on October 31, 2026. Novia University of Applied Sciences is the project administrator and VAMK is the executing partner.
After the project period, the material will be freely available to everyone and can be used by other associations in Ostrobothnia. All materials will be produced in Swedish and Finnish and will benefit the clubs. The material is not specific to one sport but is general in nature and can be transferred to other hobby activities. In this way, other clubs in Ostrobothnia can benefit from the material produced.
