Vaasa International Talents Programme

Connecting international students with working life in the Vaasa region

A joint programme by five higher education institutions in Vaasa, supporting international students and collaborating closely with employers and regional actors.

The programme provides international talents with competence development for Finnish working life, particularly various knowledge and skills which will equip them with must-know facts about Finnish and local working life and its expectations on job applicants and employees.

The aim is to help the students to integrate into the Finnish job market and establish themselves in the region after graduation.

How it works

The programme is built around three main focus areas, which together form a structured and supportive learning experience:

Competence Development

Development of practical skills and insights that support professional growth and collaboration in the Finnish working environment. Gain a clearer understanding of expectations, roles, and ways of working.

Guidance

Receive support and perspectives on professional growth, career paths, and Finnish work culture. In this way, supporting reflection, learning, and meaningful dialogue.

Connections to working life

Build connections with programme participants, alumni, and representatives from working life. Exchange experiences, explore opportunities, and strengthen networks across education and industry.
