Interprofessional Health and Welfare
One of society's major challenges is the demographic change, especielly with an increasing proportion of ageing people and a growing number of senior citizens over 85 years of age. This requires a need to develop new, innovative and efficient service models and methods to ensure that the dignity, health, participation and well-being of the elderly in the community.
Our activities in health and welfare:
- Initiates development in the social- and health care sector, focusing on elderly both nationally and internationally.
- Develops resource-enhancing methods to support senior citizens by using gerontechnology.
- Benefits from the international gerontological research database with gathered data since 2004.
- Emphasizes the dignity and participation of the elderly.
