Library

The library services of Novia University of Applied Sciences are part of Tritonia, a joint library and teaching support unit (EduLab) for Novia University of Applied Sciences, Vamk University of Applied Sciences, the University of Vaasa, Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa and Jakobstad, and Hanken School of Economics in Vaasa.

Tritonia’s library and information services are available at all Novia’s units in Vaasa, Turku and Jakobstad. In Raseborg, services are available through the city library.

You can search for print and digital materials and renew your loans through our search service Finna (Vaasa-Turku-Jakobstad) and Lukas (Raseborg). To search for digital materials change the Finna portal to Yrkeshögskolan Novia. Theses completed at Novia UAS and other universities of applied sciences are available online in Theseus. The subject guides in LibGuides help you find resources within your field – online licensed materials, Open Access, and print materials.

The Nunnankatu library will move

The library will move from Nunnankatu to the Asa Library at Vänrikinkatu 3 A, which is part of the Åbo Akademi University Library. The last open day for Tritonia Nunnankatu will be 24.5.2017. The loan period for books borrowed from the library will be longer than usual, since they cannot be renewed during a transition period, when they will not be visible in Finna. Books can be returned to Nunnankatu campus until Midsummer. From August, the Asa library at Vänrikinkatu 3 A will serve students and staff at Novia in Turku. From the autumn, books, journals and e-resources for Novia’s education in Turku can be found in the Alma portal of Åbo Akademi University.

The Tritonia Express and interlibrary loans service to and from Nunnankatu will end by 2.5.2017. The interlibrary loans service between Tritonia and Åbo Akademi University Library will continue as usual.
