Research & Development

The Research and Development (R&D) activities at Novia University of Applied Sciences (UAS) support a genuine joint effort between the UAS and the regional businesses and industries. The R&D activity is being developed as a part of the Finnish innovation system through strategically chosen, long-term partners. Novia UAS's R&D strategy is based on the overall strategy at Novia UAS, which gives the framework for R&D activities.

The activities are coordinated by the Head of R&D in the R&D unit at Novia UAS. Every educational unit/campus has a R&D leader, whom in consultation with the Dean, coordinates the R&D activities within the different degree programmes.

The activities include research and development projects, services, investigations and consultant tasks. The research projects include national and international collaboration projects with Åbo Akademi University and other Universities/ Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland and abroad.
