The interlibrary loan service makes it possible for you to borrow literature, which cannot be found in our library collections, from other libraries.
Books and photocopies of journals can be ordered as interlibrary loans from other libraries. A fee will be charged for the interlibrary loans, even if you don't pick up the requested items. The sending library decides the loan period and other conditions for the loan. Due to copyright reasons, articles will only be given to the customer in print form, not electronically.
An interlibrary loan will ordinarily be available in 1-2 weeks. If the requested material is currently checked out, the delivery period can be longer. Photocopies of articles generally arrive in a shorter time.
Other libraries can make requests for interlibrary loans from our collections. The loans will be charged according to our service fees.
The following types of material will not be sent as interlibrary loans: degree theses, reference books, course literature currently in use, audiovisual material and sheet music. Articles in journals will be photocopied and sent by post or e-mail.
See the campus libraries' contact information for the return addresses.
