Vaasa is located on Finland's west coast in the Kvarken region. The Kvarken archipelago is a UNESCO natural world heritage. There are also good connections to Sweden and to other parts of Finland in all directions. Several international rankings during the last few years have placed Finland and Finnish education on top.
