Application Process

Applying to Novia UAS is possible during the joint application system (9 January - 14 February 2012) for all English degree programmes in Finland. The application can be submitted online at www.admissions.fi . After submitting the application online and sending proof of eligibility to the admissions office, the admissions office at the applicants' first preference UAS will check the application and certificates. All applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility and language skills will be invited to the entrance examinations. International student admission is based on success in entrance examinations.

The entrance examinations are compulsory and will be arranged in Finland for all degree programmes. The Degree Programmes in Environmental Engineering and Maritime Management will also arrange entrance examinations abroad in cooperation with the Finnish Network for International Programmes (FINNIPS). The decision on student admission will be published from 29 May 2012 and admitted students have time to accept their study place until 31 July 2012.

Step-by-step

1. Submit your application online at www.admissions.fi during the application period 9 January - 14 February 2012.

2. Submit your certificate copies (senior secondary school certificate and language test) to the admissions office of your first preference UAS no later than 24 February 2012.

3. Wait for the decision on student admission or an invitation to the entrance examinations in March 2012.

4. Prepare for the entrance examinations and participate in the examinations in April 2012.

5. Wait for the decision on student admission to be published from 29 May 2012.

6. If you are an admitted student confirm your study place before 31 July 2012. If you are a non EU/EEA - citizen remember to submit your student visa application as soon as you have confirmed your study place.

7. Studies begin  August - September 2012 for all new students.
